Old woodfire's restaurant is fully licensed offering a-lacarte australian cuisine. Stay & play packages are availabe and include accommodation, golf and meals at old woodfire's. Our accommodation in Kangaroo Valley comprises 45 fully self contained 1,2 and 3 bedroom cabins and luxury villas with majestic mountain views and all are scattered around our picturesque par 72 Championship Golf course. Our Conference center is fully equipped and offers the flawless corporate work facility in a relaxed, stress release environment. We can produce all services needed right here on the property so there is no need to leave once you arrive. We have ample of release parking for cars and buses and can also arrange transportation from the airport. The main building is an historic woodshed which has been relocated from Uriah Park in outback MSW and lovingly restored to its preceding glory. It is home to The woodshed Restaurant which is capable to be booked for private functions. For groups lower 16 we can suggest some exquisite restaurants in Kangaroo Valley. There is something for everyone at Kangaroo Valley Golf Country Club so why not let us aid you plan your next getaway? The 8th hole has spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Kangaroo Valley has a variety of Art and Craft Galleries and a prosperous ca and restaurant scene with a famous pub in the center of town. You'll find interesting shops with collectibles, a bakery, nurseries and quaint shops with lovely handcrafts and artworks. Stop along the way at a winery and appreciate the famous attractions that the kiama region has to offer. Having Kangaroo Valley Golf and Country Club as a bottom to play golf and experience the immense array of outdoor pursuits on present makes vast sense. Grateful for the privacy of the villa and very happy with the setup. Very, very beautiful golf course with some excellent holes. The par 5’s are a bit short though and the greens the day we played were way too fluffy and slow. Healthy worth a game, I’m positive you’ll appreciate it. The 8th hole is a highlight, and there are some very well placed hazards on the course. The par 5, 18th is reachable in two on a parched day, but is a long carry on the second (with a downhill lie) over a hazard to a small to moderate sized green. Bunkers are around, but didn’t reach into play much for myself and a mate.

It was developed from the family dairy farm. Initially the 9hole course was of Warren's design (although he had never played a game of golf). Greens were relocated, reconstructions undertaken and the shape and topography of maximum of the greens altered. Fresh tees were set up for all the holes, the creek at 18 moved and other bunkers and strategic mounds added. Phil organized the conversion of putting surfaces from couch grass to Bent grass, secured the practice ground and oversaw the construction of new dams between holes 9 and 16. Maximum of those playing in the beginning comp are still members to this day.
